easier holidays
with youR
gifted/2e kid or teen

Why this workshop?

As the holiday season approaches, you're likely craving some rest, ease, and connection.

But the hectic pace and increased excitement often mean more stress, conflict, and meltdowns for intense, sensitive gifted/2e kids and teens.

This workshop is for you if:

  • You know the holidays are hard for your intense, sensitive gifted/2e kid or teen - and you want to make the holiday season easier for both of you!

  • Some things about the holidays just set your kid on edge - it’s really tough for them to manage the change in schedule, big gatherings, extended-family dynamics, holiday foods, or waiting for preferred activities.

  • Sometimes it feels impossible to enjoy events that are “supposed to” be fun - your intense gifted/2e kid complains, cries, refuses to go, or gets upset once you’re there.

  • You want an easier, more restful holiday season, but standard parenting advice doesn’t work with your kid - so you’re not sure where to start.

In this one-hour online workshop, I’ll share holiday-season tips designed specifically for parents of intense, sensitive gifted and twice-exceptional (2e) kids and teens.

This workshop will be interactive, so bring something to take notes if you like! 📝. You’ll have a chance to reflect on your child's or teen's needs and apply the tips to your own family’s holiday plans.

What will I get out of this workshop?

Here's what's included -

✅ Why holidays are tough for intense, sensitive gifted/2e kids - and how you can make them a little easier.

✅ Big ideas and practical strategies that help you prevent meltdowns before they happen, reduce unnecessary stress, and set your kid up for success during holiday experiences.

✅ Time to ask questions about how to use these strategies in your own family.

I'll also take a few minutes to tell you about Support Your Intense Gifted/2e Kid, my small-group coaching program that helps you feel more confident and less stressed raising your gifted/2e kid or teen. No pressure to enroll - just some information about the program in case it's a good fit for you right now.

Hi, I’m Dr. Danika Maddocks!

I help parents of intense, sensitive gifted/2e kids and teens let go of standard parenting pressures so you can build a unique family life that actually works for your kid and for you.

I've been supporting families with gifted/2e kids and teens for over 15 years as a teacher, therapist, assessment provider, school consultant, and now a parent coach.

My approach is rooted in the neurodiversity paradigm and is informed by research, my experiences supporting gifted/2e kids and families, and my personal experiences growing up gifted, realizing I'm autistic at age 39, and raising a young gifted/2e kid.

You can learn more about me here or my approach here.
